3 Separate 7-11’s Robbed At Gunpoint Tuesday
A string of armed robberies that occurred within hours of each other rocked local 7-11 convenience stores Tuesday morning.
Colorado Springs police said the two armed men with bandannas on their face robbed the 7-11 convenience store on Shasta Drive just before 2 a.m. The men got away on foot, but were later seen getting into a dark-colored sedan. The car was last seen traveling north on Shasta Drive. The vehicle and the suspects were not located by police.
Two hours later, police responded to a call of an armed robbery at the 7-11 located at 1801 S. Nevada Ave. Two armed suspects entered the store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police described the suspects as a hispanic man in his 20’s, standing 5 foot 5 inches, with a thin build, wearing a blue shirt with a white undershirt, dark pants, black hat and bandanna. The second suspect was described as a hispanic woman in her early 20’s, wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts, white bandanna and tennis shoes. No one was injured in the robbery.
The same suspects were seen robbing a 7-11 located at 450 N. Murray Blvd. around 4:29 a.m. Suspects left out the door to the west and were not seen after that.
