3 Wanted For Deadly Home Invasion Captured In Lakewood
Three suspects on the run were caught by police Thursday after a home invasion that turned deadly Tuesday.
Carlos Manzanares, 41, Shane Manzanares, 28, and Natasha Villalobos, 23, were arrested in Lakewood on charges of first-degree burglary of a Pueblo, Colo. home.
The home invasion happened early Tuesday morning in the 3100 block of Aster Street. The homeowner, 31-year-old Christopher Maes, shot and killed one of the masked suspects, 28-year-old John Pete Sullivan, according to police.
Villalobos orchestrated the invasion while partying at Maes’ home, and her three accomplices broke in to steal drugs and money, police said.
Maes has not yet been arrested or charged. Police said Maes’ 6-year-old daughter and four other family members were home at the time of the home invasion.
Villalobos and Sullivan were two of Crime Stoppers’ most wanted. Villalobos was wanted for escape and dangerous drugs. Sullivan was wanted for escape and trespassing.
The two wanted brothers are younger siblings of Duane Manzanares who is serving a life sentence for brutally murdering his estranged wife and assaulting her boyfriend.
