Meeting To Discuss Strong Mayor System

People living in Colorado Springs will have a chance to debate the strong mayor system Wednesday night.

A town hall meeting will be held to talk about changing Colorado Springs to the strong mayor system.

A group of business leaders are pushing for the system. It would give the mayor more executive power. Right now decisions are made by city council.

Those in favor of the system say it will bring more accountability to city hall.

Wednesday?s meeting will be held at Stargazers Theatre on Parkside Dr. It runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
