Wednesday: Sunny to start. Increasing clouds from the south and some thunderstorms developing to the south of highway 50. They’ll be more likely and numerous the farther southeast you go and one or two could be strong. Pueblo could get one of these late, while Colorado Springs probably stays dry. High temperatures in the 60s to lower 70s for lower elevations, mainly 40s and 50s for our local mountain communities…
Extended: Quiet early Thursday under a partly cloudy sky, but late in the day cooler air and low level moisturewill arrive, should start to kick of a good area of showers and thunderstorms.A fairly high coverage of showers and thunderstorms could evolve into large areas of rain and thunder (maybe some heavy wet snow up high), perhaps lastingoff and on into Friday night. We’ll continue to track this chance fora good rainfall closely through the week. Temperatures won’t recover much this weekend, and enough residual instability may support spotty, mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms area wide, but we still think there will besome dry hours to spend time outdoors this weekend…
