Gas Prices On The Rise

COLORADO SPRINGS – Gas prices across the United States are climbing back up again.

The average price of a gallon of regular gas rose 3.8 cents over the past three weeks to $2.85.

That is an 80 cent increase from the same time last year according to the national Lundberg Survey of fuel prices.

In the Colorado Springs area, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is below the national average at $2.67.

The lowest price nationally is in Newark, New Jersey at $2.64 a gallon. The highest is in Honolulu, Hawaii at $3.43 a gallon.
