Home Invasion Suspect Search

COLORADO SPRINGS – Police are searching for a suspect considered armed and dangerous on the run after a home invasion in the 4200 block of Galley. That’s between N Murray Boulevard and Wooten Road.

Police say two victims were wounded when one of them answered the door and was immediately attacked by the two suspects. The suspects had a loaded handgun and a baton. The victims were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The victims and a neighbor were able to wrestle one of the suspects to the floor and held him there until police arrived. The suspect, 24-year-old Daniel Edmonds, was arrested and then taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. The second suspect was able to get away. He is described as a white man, bald, believed to be in his twenties, wearing blue jeans but no shirt.

“We do have reason to believe the suspect may be injured, and may have sustained injuries to his back area,” said Lt. Catherine Buckley.

The weapons were recovered at the scene. If you have any information on this crime or the second suspect, call police at 444-7000.
