Burglary Victims Tie Up Suspect, Two Others Get Away
COLORADO SPRINGS – A burglary at an apartment on N. Murray lands one person in jail and two other suspects on the run.
Police say the three men knocked on the door at the apartment around 5:30 Thursday night. When the victims opened it, the suspects asked if they could use the phone. Once inside, the suspects pulled out a handgun and a knife and started to demand money.
The victims realized the gun was not loaded and attacked and chased the suspects from the apartment. The male victim tackled one of the suspects. During the struggle, the female victim struck the suspect with a glass bottle and tied him up with an electrical cord. He was arrested when officers arrived.
The two other victims were able to get away with an Xbox 360. Police have not released their descriptions.
