Two Robbed At Gunpoint Outside Wells Fargo Bank
COLORADO SPRINGS – Two people were robbed at gunpoint by a masked suspect outside the Wells Fargo on Cascade Ave. in downtown Colorado Springs Friday morning.
The suspect approached the employees at gunpoint outside the bank and lead them inside around 7:30 a.m. One of the victims was struck in the head during the robbery. He was treated for minor injury.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank. While in the parking lot the suspect stole an unoccupied bank employees Toyota Tacoma truck and was last seen heading west on Cimarron St towards I-25. The truck was found abandoned in Manitou Springsby police just before 11:00 a.m.
Police are reviewing the surveillance tapesbefore theyrelease a suspect description.
