Woman Loses Two Pets In Stratmoor Hills House Fire

COLORADO SPRINGS – A house fire forced a woman from her home and took the lives of two of her pets Wednesday morning.

The victim’s two catsdied when they were trapped in the blaze that sparked onthe 1900 block of Chamberlin South in theStratmoor Hills area around 5:30 a.m. The woman was able to escape unharmed with her three dogs.

Quick-acting firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the rear bedroom. Now the investigation begins into what caused the fire.

The displaced woman tells NEWSCHANNEL 13 she will be staying with relatives for the time being.
