Fort Carson Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

FORT CARSON – The Department of Defense announced the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

The Pentagon says 19-year-old Spc Robert Donevski of Sun City, Ariz., died Saturday from wounds he suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with small-arms fire in Abad, Afghanistan.

Donevski was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

He is the 39th soldier from Fort Carson killed in Afghanistan. Another 255 have been killed in Iraq.
