Child Dies In El Paso County
EL PASO COUNTY – Authorities await an autopsy report to learn why an unidentified five-year-old boy died Monday morning.
El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies tell say the boy died of some sort of medical issue. After investigating for several hours, they determined the death is not suspicious for now.
Just before 5:30 a.m., deputies responded to the Cheyenne Mountain Estates mobile home park off Highway 115 near Fort Carson, on a report of a child who was not conscious or breathing. He was rushed toMemorial Hospital. A dispatcher instructed the boy’s parents on CPR procedures until paramedics arrived.
Authorities expect to have autopsy results by late Tuesday. NEWSCHANNEL 13 will continue to track this story.
