Lawyer: Palin Takes Fox News Commentator Job
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -Sarah Palin says she’s “thrilled” to be joining Fox News as a regular commentator.
In a statement on the network’s Web site, the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate says it’s “wonderful” to be part of an operation that “values fair and balanced news.”
Fox says Palin will offer political commentary and analysis in a multiyear deal. She also will host occasional episodes of Fox News “Real American Stories,” a series featuring true inspirational stories about Americans.
Bill Shine, Fox executive vice president of programming, says Palin has “captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum” and will be a “dynamic voice” on the Fox News lineup.
Palin is popular with conservatives and has more than 1.1 million Facebook followers.
She stepped down as governor in July and has just finished a nationwide tour to promote her book, “Going Rogue.”
