STORMTRACKER 13 CDOT Real-Time Travel Conditions
A graphical representation of road conditions due to weather across the state of Colorado using a combination of real-time weather and road surface sensors, traffic cameras and information from CDOT plow drivers and road crews and state patrol officers across the Centennial State.
Once weather is affecting travel and road conditions in a particular area, icons will become active indicating how drivers are being affected:
Flag: Indicates that high wind and/or strong wind gusts are reducing visibility or may be hazardous to high profile vehicles.
Green Dot: Indicates that road conditions are being reported as wet due to rain and/or snow that is melting on contact with road surfaces.
Yellow Dot: Roads are slick and slow and drivers should exercise caution and reduce speeds. Be alert to changing road conditions.
Red Dot:Hazardous Driving Conditions. The road is being reported as icy and snowpacked, blowing and drifting snow may also be present. Drivers should reduce speeds to comfortable levels for the conditions and allow extra space between vehicles to allow for adequate braking or avoid travel if possible…
