Latest Sunday Morning Forecast

This Afternoon: Snow will gradually wind down as we head towards the evening. We’ll stay cloudy and cold, however, with highs only in the teens and 20s regardless of where you are. Roads will be slick in areas that get accumulating snow. On the plains, we can’t rule out some flakes, but significant accumulation isn’t likely.

Tonight: Some flurries will be possible, otherwise cloudy and cold with single digits across the plains and temperatures below zero in some of our local mountain communities…

Extended:Frigid temperatures will stick with us as get the week started. Light snow will be possible across the plains and foothills with heavysnow for the mountains. Some spots across the high mountains will get up to 3 feet of snow as an upper systemmoves in from the west. The upslope flow and the shallow nature of the cold air may also lead to some freezing drizzle or a wintry mixture of precipitationat times over the plains early this week, but as the main storm moves across late Monday into Tuesday, snow could pick up.We’re not certain of any amounts with the main storm locally yet, but we’ll continue to track it. We are hoping for a pattern change by next weekend,we’ll keep our fingers crossed…
