Chris Loveless – Producer
I began my broadcasting career here at NEWSCHANNEL 13 in the fall of 2001. I was 17 when I started as an intern and have worn several hats since then. In August of 2002, I was hired as the weekend videotape editor. Then, 2 years later, I decided to try my hand at photojournalism. During my year as a photographer here at NEWSCHANNEL 13, I learned the photojournalists truly are the unsung heroes of TV news. It doesn’t matter how far away the story is, how severe the weather is, or how difficult of a story it is to report, our photojournalists are out there every day gathering the video we need. They have one of the most intense jobs in the business when it comes to deadline pressure and being on the front lines of breaking news, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
In 2005, I moved to the weekday evening videotape editor position, editing the 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 p.m. newscasts Monday through Friday. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the edit bay. I believe well-edited video can make or break a newscast.
In July of 2007, I was promoted to Associate Producer and quickly worked my way up toProducer. I am currently responsible for producing NEWSCHANNEL 13 at10Sunday through Thursday.
I’m excited about having the opportunity to cover the news in my home town, and to help make sureNEWSCHANNEL 13 andkrdo.comarethe places you turn to for the latest, breaking news and weather information 24 hours-a-day.
