Josh Poland – Meteorologist/Reporter

I’m excited to be joining NEWSCHANNEL 13 and the STORMTRACKER 13team! After spending the past 5 years forecasting Ohio weather, I felt ready for a new challenge and have found it forecasting theweather weekend mornings in Southern Colorado. The ever-changing weather we have here is sure to keep me busy.

I was born in Pittsburgh but grew up in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Ohio University, studying both journalism and meteorology, I landedmy first TVjob at WLIO in Lima, Ohio. There, I did everything from forecasting to reporting to anchoring and producing. I received several awards for my work in Lima including Best Reporter in Ohio (AP, small market) and Best Investigative Report (AP, small market). While handling several positions in Ohio was fun, I realized forecasting weather was my greatest passion and made the move to the STORMTRACKER 13 team to forecast with southern Colorado’s best meteorologists.

My hobbies include playing and watching soccer, rooting for Pittsburgh sports teams, playing guitar and hanging out with my wife, Abby. I enjoy hearing from our viewers so send me an email at j.poland@krdo.com.
