1.5 Million Durabrand DVD Players Recalled
COLORADO SPRINGS – The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of 1.5 MillionDVD players, after reports of overheating.
The Durabrand units were sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores between January 2006 and July 2009.
Wal-Mart received 12 reports of overheating, and five resulted in fires.No injuries were reported.
Consumers are urged to return the dvd players to Wal-Mart for a full refund.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return it to the nearest Wal-Mart for a full refund.
