COLORADO SPRINGS – Swine flu warnings are popping up at the Colorado Springs Airport.

Health Alert Notices have been posted on some airline ticket counters. The notices advise travelers of the risk of swine flu. They also give tips on identifying symptoms, with advice on how to prevent spreading the disease.

NEWSCHANNEL 13 found one sign at the American Airline ticket counter. For most passengers, it was the first time seeing a swine flu notice. “I haven’t seen them before today, I think it’s a good idea because we all need to be more alert,” said traveler Judy Bodie.

Other passengers disagree. “I’m not so sure it’s necessary because when you fly you know you’re going to get germs,” stated traveler Sheilla. “But it doesn’t hurt to be careful, as long as you take precautions, wash hands and cover your mouth when you’re coughing.”
