Pueblo-Area Crops Damaged By Hailstorm
PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) – A hailstorm in the Pueblo area this week caused serious damage to green chilies, squash, pumpkins and other crops.
No dollar estimates were immediately available, but Marvin Reynolds of the Colorado State University Extension Services says consumer prices may rise because of the damage.
The storm hit Wednesday, causing extensive damage to car windows and bodies as well. There were no reports of serious injuries.
City crews spent Thursday cleaning out storm drains and catch basins.
