Canon City Woman Arrested For Alleged Attempted Murder
CANON CITY – Canon City Police arrested 19-year-oldBailey Elyssia Collins for attempted murderTuesday.
Bailey’s arrest stems from the investigation of two separate instances of reported gunshots in Canon City on July 10th. Residents in the 700 block of Forest reportedthat4 or 5 gunshots were fired in that area. The second report of three gunshots came from the area of north 9th Street. Collins is the third arrest in this investigation.
Previously, 19-year-old Travis Cox and 23-year-old Theron Leppke were arrested by authorities in Lake County, Colorado.
Collins is currently being detained at the Fremont County Detention Center and faces charges of Complicity to Commit 1st Degree Murder, Theft by receiving, Obstructing a Peace Officer and Reckless Endangerment.
