High Powered Laser Threatens Air One’s Safety

COLORADO SPRINGS – A man is now facing charges of Reckless Endangerment after allegedly shining a high-powered laser at pilots aboard the Air One helicopter Tuesday night.

Police say 18-year-old Brian Price was shining a Class III green laser at the Helicopter while driving his car. Green lasers have the potential to impair the vision of the pilots, possibly causing an aircraft crash, police report. Air One was able to locate the source of the green laser and lead Gold Hill officers to Price driving near the 7-11 on 1402 Harrison Road.

Price was served and released with a Reckless Endangerment charge. No one was injured during the encounter.
