Body Identified As Missing Girl

EL PASO COUNTY – The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the body discovered Monday was Judilianna Lawrence.

The death was confirmed to be a homicide with a wound to the neck.

19-year-old Judi Lawrence was last seen on Friday. Early Monday morning the person of interest in the case lead police to where a woman’s body was found this afternoon on old stage road.

21-year-old Robert Marko is now the main suspect in Judi’s disappearance and is being held at the Criminal Justice Center.

According to investigators at the crime scene, the suspect gave the El Paso County Sheriff’s office detailed information of where the woman’s body could be found.

Investigators say an informant told them Robert Marko’s yellow jeep was spotted near this area Friday night, the last day Judi was seen alive.

“He was pretty specific on the location where we would find her. Where we could find the body of this young lady and we found her pretty quickly,” says Sgt. Robert Jaworski.

The body was found 30 yards from the road. Sgt. Jaworski says there were no obvious signs on trauma on the victim.

“From my vantage point when I looked at the body I didn’t see any obvious wounds at this time.”

Sheriff’s deputies say Judi had known Robert Marko for several months after meeting him on My Space… Something Judy’s mother, Aekyong Lawrence told NEWSCHANNEL 13 on Sunday, had feared since she went missing.

“I think he hurt my daughter because of the things he said in the computer,” says Lawrence.
