Accused Killer’s Mom Says Son Deserves To Die

COLORADO SPRINGS – Robert Marko is accused of raping and killing Colorado Springs teen Judi Lawrence. His mother tells Newschannel 13 he deserves to die for what he’s done.

Aposting on Robert Marko’s “my space” page from Liz in Claypool, Indiana says she’s Marko’s mother and is devastated by what her son has done. But Elizabeth Hull goes into more detail on the phone. She says Robert was a loving little boy growing up but that he changed after going into the army.

Liz says she last saw Robert on the Fourth of July when he was home on leave from the army. She says he had grown distant in recent e-mails. She found out about her son’s arrest when a friend told her his picture was on the news. “He’s got that blank dead stare in his eyes of no remorse and how he says he could do it again and do it with no mercy and no reason, that’s very disturbing” says Hull.

Liz says she’s sorry for the victim’s mother and that Robert has destroyed not only two families but his own life as well. “I love him with all my heart but he deserves to pay for what he’s done and I don’t think sitting on death row or anything would do it, I think he really does need the death penalty.”
