Vet Cemetery Bill Before State Wednesday

DENVER – The push to get a National Veteran’s Cemetery in Southern Colorado returns to the State House Wednesday.

Senators Michael Bennet and Mark Udall will announce a billwhich would establish the cemetery in El Paso County. Congressman Doug Lamborn has said Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver will reach capacity much sooner than anticipated, so another cemetery is needed.

The cemetery would serve veterans in Southern Colorado andin the Pikes Peak region.
