VENUE INFORMATION-Winter X Games 13 will take place Jan 22-25, 2009 at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colo.-The event is free to the public-All events are held outside. Proper outdoor attire is recommended.-For the safety and comfort of all spectators, the following items are not allowed at X Games Venues: alcohol, coolers, pets, signs attached to poles or sticks, chairs/large umbrellas, cans or glass containers and weapons-Winter X Games is a nonsmoking, alcohol-free event-Event Parking will be at the Brush Creek Transfer Lot (also known as the Intercept Lot) at Hwy 82 & Brush Creek Rd. Free Shuttles will be provided-For X Games, Aspen, and Roaring Fork Valley public transportation information, please call RFTA, 970-925-8484, or go to www.rfta.com-X Games is not responsible for lost or stolen goods, or damage to check-in items-Winter X Games is a nonsmoking, alcohol-free event-All bags are subject to search at all times on or in the parking lots, shuttles and Buttermilk properties-X Games reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone at any timePARKING & SHUTTLES Event Parking for X Games 13 is located at the Brush Creek Transfer Lot Park & Ride, also known as the Intercept Lot (North side of Hwy 82 & Brush Creek Road) West of the Airport. X Games shuttles will run continuously from the Brush Creek Transit Lot to the X Games venue at Buttermilk Mountain, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. from Jan. 22-25.Shuttles will also run from Downtown Aspen and Snowmass to Buttermilk from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from Aspen Highlands to Buttermilk from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. from Jan. 22-25. There will be no direct evening transportation to/from Buttermilk to Highlands, spectators can take a regularly scheduled bus into Aspen and transfer to an X Games bus at the Ruby Park location.There is no charge for parking at the Intercept Lot or for the Shuttle Service listed above. Pay parking is available in downtown Aspen.*NOTE: Regularly scheduled RFTA shuttles (www.rfta.com) can bring you to the venue should you park in the Brush Creek Transit Lot prior to 9:00 a.m. The last X Games shuttle departs from the venue’s main entrance each night at 10 p.m. RFTA’s regular shuttle bus stop (also located at the Intercept Lot) will be running to and from the venue up until 2 a.m.Anyone requiring transportation outside of Aspen/Snowmass, such as Glenwood Springs, Carbondale or Basalt, should call 970-925-8484 (www.rfta.com) for assistance.DROP AREA: Spectators can be dropped off at the base of Buttermilk Mtn. Take Hwy 82, turn at Owl Creek Rd, and take first left (into Buttermilk Parking Lot). Drop Area is for loading and unloading only. NO parking or waiting.RFTA: Provides extensive and free bus service around the town of Aspen. Shuttles run continuously during peak morning and afternoon hours. DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From Denver: Take I-70 west to Glenwood Springs (Exit 116). Proceed South on Hwy 82 to Brush Creek Rd and park at the Brush Creek Transit Center, also known at the Intercept Lot Park and Ride. Free shuttles will take you to and from the event. From Grand Junction: Take I-70 East to Glenwood Springs (Exit 116). Proceed South on Hwy 82 to Brush Creek Rd and park at the Brush Creek Transit Center, also known at the Intercept Lot Park and Ride. GUEST SERVICES Cash machines are located inside Bumps Lodge. Lower level.ADA ACCESSIBLE ROUTES, SEATING AND FACILITIESA designated wheelchair viewing area has been established at the patio deck of Bumps Lodge. Staff in the Guests Service booth will be available to escort an individual to the wheel chair viewing area. Please go to the Guests Services booth for information or assistance.BOARDING FOR BREAST CANCER Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness and fundraising foundation. Co-founded by professional snowboarders Tina Basich and Shannon Dunn, B4BC’s mission is to increase awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early detection and the value of a healthy lifestyle. B4BC is located in the TEAM ESPN booth in X Fest, at the base area of Buttermilk Mountain.CONCESSIONS Food and drink concession stands are provided by Hickory House and located in the base area. A full-service restaurant is located inside Bumps Lodge. INTERACTIVE PARKS Two interactive parks are offered in X Fest, located at the base area of Buttermilk Mountain. The Snowskate Park and Sledding Hill are both open to the public; patrons must sign a waiver (children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) and wear a helmet. Check out the registration booth, located between the two parks, for more information and a daily schedule of park.INFORMATION BOOTH: See Guest Services BoothINTERACTIVE VILLAGE The Interactive Village is the designated Official Winter X Games Sponsor Booth area. It’s located by the main entrance and offers many fun activities, scheduled autograph signings and giveaways for spectators.LOST CHILDREN/LOST AND FOUND ITEMS The Guest Services Booth is designated as the meeting point for lost or separated people. The Lost and Found is located at the Guest Services Booth. Items that are found should be turned into staff at this booth. Guests reporting any lost items should be directed there as well.MEDICALOn-site medical is available to spectators. If you have or see a medical emergency, please contact an ESPN staff member or Security immediately and they will notify medical personnel. The Spectator Medical tent is located next to Bumps in the base area. Water and basic medical services are provided by trained staff. MERCHANDISEWinter X Games Merchandise tent, located at the main entrance near the shuttle drop area and in the Interactive Village, will be selling Official Winter X Games Merchandise.NO SMOKINGWinter X Games is a non-smoking venue. Please refrain from smoking in all public areas.PUBLIC PAY PHONES Public pay phones are available inside of Bumps Lodge.RESTROOMSPublic restrooms are located inside Bumps Lodge. Additional public restrooms are set up directly across from Bumps main entrance doors.SECURITYSecurity Check Points are located at the entrance and exit to the venue. Event Security personnel are also patrolling the venue and will assist with crowd and access control.GUEST SERVICES BOOTHThe Guest Service Booth is the designated area for all Event Information. Event schedule, venue activities, lost and found, wheelchair viewing maps and other event services are offered. The Guest Services Booth is located at the main entrance next to the shuttle drop area. X FESTLocated at the base of Buttermilk Mountain, X Fest showcases the culture and lifestyle of action sports. From product demos and sampling to giveaways on the Radio X stage, from the Snowskate Park and Sledding Hill to athlete autograph signings, X Fest is the best place to get hooked up.
