Victims In Springfield Fire Identified

SPRINGFIELD – The names of three people killed in a fire in southeast Colorado early Friday have been released. The Baca County coroner says 56 year old Rocky Michael Saldana, 47 year old Pamela Denise Saldana, and 17 year old Jazz Michael Saldana died in the fire that destroyed the Hometown Burrito restaurant and an attached home where the family of three lived. The Saldana’s owned and operated the restaurant. The fire broke out around 2:00 Friday morning. Fire fighting help was called in from Walsh, Pritchett, Campo, Two Buttes, and Prowers County Rural Fire. Flight for life was called in from Pueblo, but nobody was transported. In addition to the three deaths, one person was treated for smoke inhalation on scene. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is still trying to determine a cause.
