Special Item Dug Out Of Rubble

PUEBLO – An emotional side to the deadly explosion at the Branch Inn. Wednesday morning, ATF agents asked the owner of ‘A Classic Boutique’ if there was anything inside of her hair studio that she would like them to find. The owner of the salon is Sherri Lombard, she is also the sister of Jennifer Flower, one of the girls inside of the salon when it was badly damaged in the blast.

Sherri told the ATF agents that if she could pick one thing from the building that she wanted the most it would be a small figurine of an angel. She tells NEWSCHANNEL 13 that the statue had a sentimental value to her because it belonged to her mothers who died of cancer two years ago.

Not long after, ATF agents found the state in the rubble, and believe it or not it was almost untouched.

“We put this angel in the shop so that she could watch over us and she’s been there since day one,” said Sherri. “And I just couldn’t believe it, 20 minutes later they called us back and told us they found her,” she said while holding the statue close.

Sherri says she plans on putting the statue, with only a broken wing, in Jennifer’s room to help her recover from her injuries.
