ATF Throws Out One Possible Theory Of Explosion
PUEBLO – ATF agents have finished their fourth and now final day of investigations at the former site of the Branch Inn. NEWSCHANNEL 13 has learned that they plan to make an announcement as to what caused the explosion Thursday morning at the Convention Center at 8:30 am.
Wednesday, they were able to throw out one of the possible theories circulating about what caused the blast. ATF officials say they have found no evidence that a Meth-Lab may have been the cause.
Also the City and County Health Department announced Wednesday the results from their Asbestos tests.
“We have preliminary reports from OSHA and the air sampling that they did showed that it was negative for asbestos at this point in time,” said Heather Maio with the City/County Health Department.
Pieces of the rubble have also been tested, those also showed no signs of asbestos, however more tests will follow to confirm those findings.
