Rozita Swinton’s Court Date Pushed Back Again

COLORADO SPRINGS -Friday’s court date for awoman considered a “person of interest” in the investigation into a polygamist ranch in Texas has been moved to a later date… for the second time.Rozita Swinton, whois charged with a making false reports to police unrelated to the Texas raid, won’t have her day in court until July 9th.

The 33-year-old also caught the attention of Texas authorities because she was linked to a telephone number possibly related to reports of alleged abuse at the Yearning for Zion Ranch.

Colorado Springs police arrested Swinton on the false reporting charge in mid-April, three days after being contacted by Texas authorities. They say a search of her home turned up several items suggesting a connection between Swinton and calls regarding the YFZ Ranch and other polygamist compounds in Texas and Arizona.
