Shooting, Car Accident Closes Colorado Springs Street

COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Police believe two overnight shootings, including one that left a man dead, are related. Police were first called to theCopper Chase Apartments, around 11:00, Monday night. The investigation led them to a 7-11at S. Nevada and E. Saint Elmo where they found thevictim’s body. Another shooting happened about an hour later, near Airport and Murray. That victimwas taken to Penrose Main Hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm, but his condition isn’t known. Police haven’t said why they think the two are connected.New information will be added to this story onkrdo.com when it becomes available.
