PUEBLO – A man suspected in a Pueblo murder, is now in police custody. Police arrested 23-year-old David Roebuck in Greeley after they learned he was visiting family outside the Pueblo area. When police arrived at the suspect’s brother’s home they didn’t find Roebuck, but did find his car outside an apartment, just two blocks from the Greeley Police Station.
Roebuck later was arrested in connection with the shooting death of 41-year-old Eleuterio Gutierrez-Munoz. Gutierrez-Munoz was found lying in the intersection of First Street and Portland early last Wednesday. He had been shot once in the chest and later died while in surgery at Parkview Medical Center.
Roebuck has been in legal trouble in the past. Three years ago, he was acquitted of another murder charge in Pueblo.
On Monday, Pueblo Police announced the arrest of Robert Pemberton in the Gutierrez-Munoz murder case. He was identified from surveillance video inside a convenience store, from the night before the murder. Pemberton will face charges in connection to the murder. Police say the murder was part of a robbery plot, and they are searching for additional people in the case.
