Community Remembers Mayor Bob

COLORADO SPRINGS – Hundreds gathered in the streets of downtown Colorado Springs to honor and remember a beloved community member. Robert Isaac, bettered known to area residents as “Mayor Bob,” died Friday, May 2nd of pneumonia. He served the highest political position in the city for nearly 20 years, beginning in 1979.

The procession began just before 11:00 Friday morning at Grace Church on Tejon. Citizens lined the streets to watch in reverence as the horse drawn carriage carried Mayor Bob to the public memorial at the City Auditorium.
