Peter Miller – Photojournalist

Having grown up in Colorado Springs, I developed a desire to get involved in local news at a very young age. I got my degree in Telecommunications for television and radio. Not long after, I was hired on as a photojournalist at NEWSCHANNEL 13. I eventually moved to be the main shooter for Good Morning Colorado.

In my more than two years in the business, I have had many different experiences. One of the most recent and memorable was the Holly Tornado in early Spring of 2007. Witnessing the destruction and how people’s lives were changed is something that I will never forget. In the fall of 2006, I did a five part series “Suffering In Silence” to bring awareness on domestic violence. It was a big accomplishment personally for me and even won awards from the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association and The Associated Press. I truly enjoy the work I do and look forward to the many more amazing experience I’m sure I’ll have.
