Shooter Sent Hate Mail To Program Director

COLORADO SPRINGS – He wasremoved from the program3 years ago, but 24-year-old Matthew Murray was sending hate mail to the Youth With a Mission over the past few weeks. According the search warrant, it was through investigations at both the shooting at the mission in Arvada and the incident at New Life church that police were able to obtain a warrant for Murray’s Englewood home. The warrant specifically notes a home computerthatthe suspect used several hours a week over the past two years while attending school from home. Police believe Murray may have kept logs and notes on the computer having to do with plans to attack the mission. The warrant also suggests the need to search for documentation of past gun purchases, as well as gun equipment.
