Neighbors Of Murray Family React

DENVER – Neighbors of Matthew Murray were shocked to wake up to police cars in their neighborhood lateSunday night.Murray is believed to be involved in two separate shootings on Sunday.The first happened after midnight when a gunman walked into the Youths With A Mission building in Arvada, killing two people and injuring two others. Shortly after 1:00 PM, police responded to a call for shots firedat New Life Church in Colorado Springs. The shooting left two dead, in addition to Murray.The Murray family lives in Englewood, a city south of Denver.One neighbor believes the Murray family lived in the neighborhood for about 12 years.”I probably learned more about them today listening to the news,” neighbor Donald Hinchey says.Neighbors say the family kept to themselves, but some remember seeing their kids and their dad play baseball outside. One neighbor says the family built a makeshift batting cage in their backyard.”Dad would be working with his son, playing baseball and I assumed his son had aspirations of playing baseball in high school,” neighbor Jay Hokpo says.Neighbors say Colorado Springs Police alongside Arvada Police searched the Murray house late Sunday night into Monday morning.Sources close to the investigation say police were searching for clues linking the two shootings together.
