Kidnap Arrest

December 6, 2007 Time 12:16:00 AM Division Gold Hill Shift III Arrest Location 707 S. 8th Street

On 12/06/07 at approximately 0016 hours, Gold Hill officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart store located on S. 8th Street to check for a missing juvenile female from the State of Oklahoma. The Haskell County, Oklahoma Sheriff’s Office contacted the Colorado Springs Police Department to look for the missing 14 year old female after receiving information that the 22 year old male who was responsible for kidnapping her from her home was attempting to have money wired to him in Colorado Springs. Officers contacted the male and missing female inside of a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart store. The male was arrested on an arrest warrant issued from Oklahoma for the charge of Kidnapping and booked into the Criminal Justice Center. The juvenile female was placed into protective custody by the El Paso County Department of Human Services until arrangements can be made to have her returned to the custody of her parents in Oklahoma.
