Money Matters: State provides guidance on maintaining unemployment eligibility

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Nearly 13,000 more people filed new unemployment claims last week in Colorado.

Starting Thursday, there will be a new resource page on the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment website that will provide guidance on what is now required to maintain unemployment eligibility.

Previously, work search requirements were waived due to the "Stay at Home" and "Safer at Home" orders.

In El Paso County, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the unemployment rate in April was 12.3% higher than during the Great Recession.

If you are looking for work, sites like Connecting Colorado and Onward CO can help you find job openings in the state.
