Money Matters: Colorado Springs Utilities works with customers on payment plans

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - With over 187,000 people filing for unemployment in Colorado since April 12, many are struggling to pay their bills.

Colorado Springs Utilities is helping customers set up a payment plan if they can no longer make their payments.

Colorado Springs Utilities has already set up over 4,000 payment plans since March 23.

If you can't pay your next bill, contact Colorado Springs Utilities either online or over the phone (719-448-4800) before your bill is due.

The company offers a payment extension plan, a "skip a payment" plan and more. More information can be found here.

Colorado Springs Utilities is continuing to track COVID-19 related costs for potential reimbursement through FEMA. The utility company is working closely with the County and City on federal funding efforts.
