KRDO’s Thursday Morning Pet of the Week

Joy 1469706

KRDO’s Pet of the Week, brought to you by the Humane Society and High Country Veterinary Hospital.

Who needs a little bit of Joy in your life right now? Well, here she is ready to find her new home! She is truly a Joy, and she will keep you smiling and moving this summer. Joy has lived with teenagers, cats and other dogs before, and she’s excited for playtime with YOU! Joy is a little nervous around large dogs and gets a little protective of her people, so she will need a good introduction period and some guidance from you in how to handle her doggie relationships. She also seems to prefer the company of women, so she’ll need a little patience with any men in the family. If you have time to put into a very special human/doggie relationship, come visit with Joy for yourself! Her adoption fee is $250, which includes a voucher for a veterinarian exam, vaccinations, 30 days of health insurance, a 1-year dog license, and a microchip, and you will be able to schedule Joy’s spay in hopefully just a few weeks.

Want to know more about Joy? Visit hsppr.org or visit in person at 610 Abbot Lane in Colorado Springs. Adoption hours are 11 am – 5 pm weekdays and 11:00 am – 4:30 pm weekends. Yes, we are still open for adoptions by appointment only. Make your appointment to meet any of our amazing available pets at hsppr.org/appointment! Can’t adopt right now? You can still help out pets in need in our region by making a donation at hsppr.org/donate.
