The Avalanche will play an outdoor game at Air Force in February

For the second time since 2016, the Avalanche will play an outdoor game. Only this time, it’ll be played in Colorado Springs. NHL commissioner Gary Betttman, Avs GM Joe Sakic and others were on hand at Falcon Stadium on Thursday to talk about the latest edition of the Stadium Series, “This is going to be an incredible spectacle, a celebration of our sport in one of the great hockey towns in the world,” says Bettman.

Commissioner Bettman says the February 15th showdown against the Kings is a credit to the hockey culture in Colorado Springs.
