1 positive COVID-19 case at Fort Carson child care center

FORT CARSON, Colo. (KRDO) -- A child care center at Fort Carson is closed Wednesday after an individual tested positive for the coronavirus.

A spokesperson for the mountain post said that the facility is closed for deep cleaning but it will reopen on Thursday.

Officials did not confirm whether a child, parent or an employee had tested positive for COVID-19.

Nurses at Fort Carson are doing contact tracing and will be alerting any other people who may have been exposed. People who are at risk will be asked to quarantine themselves, a spokesperson said.
