District 1 - Democratic Party

How does your experience make you qualified to represent the people?

I have served on numerous local boards and committees for the City of Colorado Springs, Academy School District 20 and within the Republican and Democratic parties. These positions led me to experience many perspectives which I believe is the most important quality of an elected official.

What are your top policy priorities?

My top priorities are maintaining essential and popular County services through budget cuts, ending cooperation with ICE, improving representation on boards/committees, opposing large developments that are a drain on public resources, public safety outside of law enforcement and philanthropy with the Commissioner salary.

What is one issue you think is being overlooked in this race, and how would you address it?

An issue I feel that is being overlooked is the integrity and motivations behind candidates. We should look at the funding of candidates and their willingness to be open and answer questions rather than give vague or non answers under the guise of fairness to large corporations.
