Clouds clear heading into the work week

Tonight: Sunday night will bring the last bit of moisture for a few days. Heavy showers and thunderstorms begin as early as 6 pm for Colorado Springs. The Sawatch and Sangre de Cristo Mountains get hit with rain and storms at the same time frame. Snow levels are still high with snow only dropping to about 8,000-9,000 feet elevation. Snow levels drop and temperatures get colder through the night. At 9 pm the San Luis Valley will be getting a lot of snow, making the Monday morning commute through that area very difficult.

Alamosa and some surrounding areas are under a Flood Warning until noon on Tuesday. An inch of rain is possible in some areas before Monday morning.

Monday: Partly Cloudy skies are back for Monday morning. Dry conditions are expected all across Colorado. The high temperature will likely hit 60 for Colorado Springs and 65 for Pueblo.
