The week ahead

Tonight: Isolated showers and thunderstorms again developing across I-70 and in northern Colorado. Can't rule out a quick rain shower in El Paso County, but the overall coverage and severity of any precipitation in Colorado Springs will be low. Gradually turning mostly clear after midnight with temperatures to 48 degrees in Colorado Springs and 51 in Pueblo.

Monday: Plenty of sunshine to start out the day, expect a light morning breeze with gusts to 25 mph along I-25 and HWY 50. The winds will slowly tapper off by early afternoon. Increasing cloud coverage through the day with very spotty showers after 2pm. The vast majority of central/southern Colorado should remain dry, just keep an eye on the sky for a quick burst of rain.

Extended: Cooling slightly for our Tuesday forecast with temperatures back to seasonal, in the low 60s in Colorado Springs and low 70s across HWY 50 locations. Afternoon convective thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon with partly cloudy skies. The cooler weather doesn't last long, back into the 70s and 80s for the midweek forecast, minimal precipitation chances on Wednesday and Thursday with a cold front expected to bring more rain chances and a big temperature drop for Friday. Keep an eye on next weekends forecast, looking quite unsettled.
