Cool Tuesday but Tracking a Warmup!

Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas saw a decent bout of snow last night. Here are a look at snow totals from the region:

Most areas landed within our forecast getting between 2-6" of snow with the northern Foothills west and north of Denver getting between 8-16" of snow! The morning started very cold and high temperatures today will struggle to get to 40-degrees under partly cloudy skies.

Overnight, temperatures will once again fall below freezing with teens and 20s expected region-wide. Another hard freeze is expected so keep the plants and pets protected.

The extend forecast shows unsettled weather continuing through Friday with rain showers on the Plains and light snow showers for the higher elevations. By this weekend, sunshine and warmth are finally back as a ridge of high pressure moves in.

Beyond this weekend, next week is looking drier and warmer across much of Colorado. This means unseasonably warm air and dry conditions are expected. So there is an end in sight of the cold, dreary weather!

Enjoy the weather! It's the only weather we have.
