The Pueblo East football team looking for three-peat

The back to back champs are now under new management, “I just want to bring that tenacious attitude and ferocity on the field.” says new East football coach Andy Watts. Watts is in the first year as the head football coach at East but he’s Pueblo to the core, “With me being here, a lifelong Puebloan, and a lifelong Eagle, I knew this was a good fit.” says Watts.

First on the to do list, re-work the offense after the departure of Swiss-Army quarterback Danny Martin, “You really can’t replace a guy like Danny, you can make up for it a little bit but we’re good. We’ll go up in the air a little bit more but we’ll be fine.” says senior wide receiver Luke Padula.

On September 3rd the Eagles kick off their three-peat campaign against Longmont, the only team to beat them last year. .
