Pedestrian hurt in crash in Colorado Springs, police say

Colorado Springs police are investigating a crash between a vehicle and a bicycle just north of the intersection of South Circle Drive and the Hancock Expressway.

The accident was reported around 6:33 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police told KRDO that drugs, alcohol and reckless driving are not considered factors in the accident.

The northbound through-lane of South Circle Drive will be closed during the investigation.
