Reigns handed over to new colonel of Garrison Command

The Garrison Command at Fort Carson has officially changed hands.

A ceremony was held on Wednesday, handing the reigns to Colonel Ronald Fitch.

He takes over for Colonel Joel Hamilton, who’s retiring from the army in the fall.

The Garrison Commander oversees day-to-day functions at Fort Carson, including Public Works and Emergency Services.
