Pueblo Community College Receives Millions

Safety and technology upgrades are first on the list for the more than $7 million Pueblo Community College is receiving from the state.

PCC officials announced the $7.6 million dollars they got from the state.

Some upgrades include automatic locks on the exterior doors in case of an emergency on campus… and new technology for the science labs.

“Funds are few and precious, and it’s very competitive, and for us to be able to secure this much money in southern Colorado and in particular for Pueblo Community College, we feel very honored.” said Dr. Patty Erjavec, the president of PCC.

State representatives, Leroy Garcia and Daneya Esgar, worked to get the money for Pueblo to put an emphasis on the importance of higher education.
