5 dead, 1 hospitalized from train-vehicle collision

night off… first up tonight– breaking news.. state patrol confirms a horrific train accident has happened in las animas county.. five people were killed after a train slams into a van.. it happened north east of trinidad at a crossing on a county road..around 10 this morning.. the amtrak train was bound for los angeles. the company tells us that the van was reportedly blocking the tracks.. there were six people in the vehicle .. five were killed on the scene. the sixth, a young girl, was air lifted to children’s hospital in denver. no official confirmation yet, but relatives are telling us the victims were a family going to church .. there were 286 passengers on the train, none of them
